Yup! although you do also get 2 pairs of them in the rather cheaper 8465. I
was forgetting that the shocks are unique (AFAIK) in that they are more
stiffly sprung than the normal long-travel shocks found in 8880 etc, in the
same way that 8458's are stiffer than the normal light & dark grey versions
of standard length springs. These stiffer shocks are coloured yellow in both
cases.
There are also new 'L' shaped one-piece black technic beams, which are used
in the chassis (like 2no 4L technic beams placed at right angles to each
other in plan and joined at the ends). These are pretty rare - maybe in the
Ultimate Builders Set, IIRC, if at all. I think someone else posted a pic of
the UBS parts before - anyone got the URL? If anyone would like me to take a
pic & post it, LMK.

I'm sure that's true - until 2002 at least!

| (...) There are some good parts indeed in this set; I was looking forward to the front steering/suspension setup but there is an awful lot of backlash in it, in fact the backlash movement is almost as great as the entire steering range! Perhaps some (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.technic)
