  Review: 8539 Manas

Well, I figure anything with *two* remote controls must be good, so I ordered one from Ozbricks (www.ozbircks.com), and when it arrived, I must say I was a bit disappointed. One thing I did like was the little block thingies the rubber bands were (...) (23 years ago, 8-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.reviews, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

(...) Tip from a 'huge-amounts-of-bla...collector' = me: 1] At your garage or local tank-stop: buy Car-Interior Dashboard Spray. 2] Apply lightly on 'any' Lego and whipe with soft cloth ==> a] color fresh again b] visible disappearence of scratches, (...) (...) He's smiling because he's plastic and he knows the tank won't really hurt him! :-). Or it could just be the way he's printed! Steve (23 years ago, 6-Oct-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Limited Edition Bioncile Pen...

The pens are at LLC for $9.95 + tax (if ship to CA). You can order them from LLC and they will ship worldwide. The shipping is something like $4.95 service fee + actual shipping. This can make the pen cost close to $20.00. The pens were available (...) (23 years ago, 5-Oct-01, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

They are just inside te main gate to the left next to the bathrooms and the camera selling booth. If you hit the store, you've gone to far. Also, I can highly recommend the bulk section as they have something new on an almost daily basis (or so I am (...) (23 years ago, 6-Oct-01, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Limited Edition Bioncile Pen...

I don't consider $1-2 a massive charge. I may be driving 3 hours out of my way to get there. Gas in CA is $2/gal, and the time involved, not to mention the hassle/time of packing them up and shipping them out. I won't feel guilty about such a small (...)   Re: Limited Edition Bioncile Pen...

(...) Yup...you're right...I missed the second "plus". I read it as $1-2 for shipping. Come on Tom! I collected the McDonald's Bionicle Tohunga sets for Japp in the Netherlands at no markup...and that was a relative pain-in-the-@$$ (what with last (...)   Re: Limited Edition Bioncile Pen...

(...) I think you've misunderstood. I am objecting to the added "$1-2" markup, hence I wrote "without any other fees." I think it would be cool if people would sometimes do things for others without compensation. And if Tom doesn't want to do it (he (...)   Re: Limited Edition Bioncile Pen...

(...) I'm not interested in a pen, but I think it would be nice if you offered to pick up the pens for people at cost and shipping without any other fees. You plan on being there anyways and there have been times when you've asked people to pick up (...) (23 years ago, 5-Oct-01, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.technic.bionicle)
