  Re: Site updated

(...) The truck is pretty slow-movin' (i.e. it's got a lotta power). I'm guessing that the gear ratio is something around 1:1000. Your drive train must be really well built. My experience with my crawler crane (1:1080 ratio on the tracks) taught me (...) (24 years ago, 30-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Strategies to acquire McDonald's Tohunga?

(...) 99% of McDonald's resturaunts sell you just the toy for $1.09. However, for certain promotions in which McDonald's expects high deman, such as the Beanie Babies one, they sell the toys for $1.89 each and sometimes place a limit (usually 4). (...) I'm particulary proud of my suspension because it's fully independant and hardness adjustable. (...) I suspect they do too. I notice in war films the track, just before it feeds back onto the rear drive sprocket, actually travels in a slight (...) (24 years ago, 30-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Site updated

(...) Nice job Steve, it is especially good to see the suspension on the tank working as it boards the trailer. I also liked how the tank lurches on the suspension at startup on the tank video, which is something I've never really thought of before (...) (24 years ago, 30-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Strategies to acquire McDonald's Tohunga?

(...) Kyle, AFAIK, the moritorium on buying the toy seperate of the Happy Meal was ONLY for the Beanie Baby premiums. I have never...EVER...not been allowed to buy the toy seperately. Here's the weird thing though...When I ask for JUST the toy, they (...) (24 years ago, 30-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Strategies to acquire McDonald's Tohunga?

Has anyone developed or know strategies for separating the consumers of McDonald's Happy Meals from the toy? I want lots of Tohunga but I'm unwilling to eat the Happy Meal. The optimal solution would be to find a condition where Happy Meals were (...) (24 years ago, 30-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

The only differences is that the clock does not exist and neither does the tower and a few other minor structural details are different but it definitely reminds me of the City Hall in my town.
