Has anyone developed or know strategies for separating the consumers of
McDonald's Happy Meals from the toy? I want lots of Tohunga but I'm
unwilling to eat the Happy Meal. The optimal solution would be to find a
condition where Happy Meals were bought without consideration for the toy,
ergo, I get toys for cheap. Or free! But I haven't figured out a plausible
case where that would happen. ("C'mon, Dieter, let's go get a metric tonne
of Happy Meals and drop them from a helicopter to make an artistic statement!")
What are the rules at McDonald's about the toys in Happy Meals? Wasn't there
some fracas associated with Beanie Babies?

| (...) 99% of McDonald's resturaunts sell you just the toy for $1.09. However, for certain promotions in which McDonald's expects high deman, such as the Beanie Babies one, they sell the toys for $1.89 each and sometimes place a limit (usually 4).
