I noticed some things seem to respond differently based on what you did previously. For example, after this quest you are told to see someone to get something (no spoilers unless you want them), and unless you talk to the villager who says (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Take the Koli ball next to the kid in the Koli field (who is waiting for someone to play with him), not the ones the vendor has. No need to trade. Then take the infected Comet ball to Onewa. You can now get to Onu-Koro (rock people) via: (1) The sandstorm in the desert west of Po-Koro is gone, you can now take a "Taxi Crab" (!), or (2) as Corman4 said, you can now pass through the fire village of Ta-Koro and go through the tunnels.
