I noticed some things seem to respond differently based on what you did
previously. For example, after this quest you are told to see someone to get
something (no spoilers unless you want them), and unless you talk to the
villager who says "so-and-so is looking for you" he does not give it to you!
And yes, it is something you will probably find more useful than a
lightstone. ;)
In this case unfortunately I can't remember what I did first (any help,
people with better memories?). Try talking to the village peddler first, or
Huki (the sicky one), or Onewa (the Turaga). Also, I think maybe I just
clicked on it and it appeared in my inventory, rather than "drag" it? I have
a really slow computer, so sometimes I do multiple things before I "see" the
results!

| Aha! Yes, you're right. The trick seems to be -- maybe it's only for me -- talk to the Koli player, say "Goodbye." Turn around immediately, and the Koli player is gone and the ball is there waiting to be acquired. *Then* even I can pick it up, it's (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)
