Can someone who has the 8465 or 9466 take some pictures of the new special parts, I want to see what they look like BEFORE I pay my money to buy the sets. (24 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

My 8465, back-ordered from Lego S@H, arrived in mail yesterday. I rushed to build it, for the fear that this may be the last chance that we can judge this set all by itself, without it being overshadowed by its big brother once 8466 comes out. The (...) I finally got my copy of the new catalog and I have a few questions. First of all, I was looking at the 8466 Off Roader (which has generated considerable discussion in the past few weeks). As far as I can tell, it has steering, pistons, suspension, (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) True, they don't do a whole lot, but two of the six Toa, Gali and Onua, are made where you can move both arms, and one, Pohatu, has a leg that moves (although this makes him even more prone to falling over). (24 years ago, 10-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

OK, thanks for the references. I'm all up to date now. I would have seen all this Maori controversy if I had not actually been in Polynesia at the time. (...) The Rahi. Good, they're finally coming out. The S@H catalog has Muaka and Kane-Ra at $70, so I guess TRU is skewing the prices a little high. The mask boxes are $3 at TRU compared to $2.50 on S@H too. And yeah, they're all expensive except for (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

I've noticed that Star Wars laser cannons make pretty good mask holders. The small end has a hollow stud that can hold a mask. The laser cannons can stand-on-end on a 1x1 attached to a baseplate, or stick straight out from a wall. -gyug (24 years ago, 10-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)
