At last - pictures of my 10-step Pneumatic Pick and Place robot! (URL) More pictures (once moderated) at: (URL) robot uses 6 large and 2 small cylinders and 9 switches. (...) The main responsibility of the Spybot is to process IR commands from the remote. That will give us the ability to control SSC via remote. The Spybot has two built-in motors. Those can control some auxiliary (non-critical) function, like (...) (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.technic)

Steve, What are all the responsibilities of the spybot, and the two RCXs. One of the RCX's must control the two motors that cause forward/backward mux and turning mux. Another motor for sideways. Do you also need a motor to control the pneumatic (...) (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.technic)

OK I did this quite a while ago as a proof of concept, but never got around to posting it. (...) One idea for rubber tires is slices of bike tyre inner tube. Dunno how well it would hold though, and it would raise the height slightly. But it doesn't require a mod ;) ROSCO (Is a mod to a non-LEGO part such a bad thing anyway????) (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.trains)

This years BrickFest in DC is going to be "the best so far". To make that happen, the organizers are interested in new ideas for things you'd like to see happen.
