  Re: Steerable Walker

(...) Cool! How few legs does a tank-steer walker need? I built one with eight previously but six should be doable. Now it needs to be done minimalistic. Hm... (21 years ago, 7-Nov-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Has the technic "rotor" liftarm been discontinued or replaced?

(...) Thanks... at $10 per bag, with only 2 3-blade liftarms per bag, that comes to $5 for each 3-blade liftarm. I'd be better off buying them in small quantities from bricklink. :) What I'd like to do is find a place with a whole lot of 'em for not (...) (21 years ago, 6-Nov-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: New MOC: Scania Garbage Truck

  Steerable Walker

Hi, Here is one more small walker: (URL) More info, pictures and movies at: (URL) The steering system is inspired by the overall setup of the giant earth moving machines known as walking drag lines. Greetings, David (21 years ago, 6-Nov-03, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: New MOC: Scania Garbage Truck

(...) In my opinion the strongest "traditional" steering setup uses these parts: (URL) I used them for my all terrain crane as below: (URL) I estimate the axle is bearing around 2kg, and still steers perfectly well. I ended up gluing the number 2 (...) (21 years ago, 6-Nov-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam, FTX)

Re: New MOCs: 2 Large Cranes

(...) Thanks! It is sometimes surprizing what these parts are capable of. But with good building techniques and proper designs, tall cranes (and many other large structures) are possible. Of course they do have their limits, and that must be (...) (21 years ago, 5-Nov-03, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: New MOCs: 2 Large Cranes

(...) Thanks! I've stocked up considerably on red and white, so I'm kinda stuck in that color scheme :-) Fortunately it works well for large cranes. (...) Yes, crashes happen, even to the best of us.   Re: new design for microwalkers

(...) I see that your new micromotors are well utilized ;o) I too prefer the chameleon, but perhaps that's because the more colorful design is better rendered by the photo... Philo (21 years ago, 5-Nov-03, to lugnet.technic)
