  Re: Pneumatic Engines

(...) Nope, I only have them in yellow (if I don't count the pump which is basically one with a spring attached). Best regards, /Tobbe (URL) SPAM when e-mailing) (21 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Airplane wing

(...) The shape of the wing is really good! Perhaps if you could make the two wing halves attach at a slight degree giving a V-shape to the wing. Or at least make the tips turn up. I'm not sure why but most sailplanes have this configuration and (...) (21 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Minifig scale snow plow, motorized

(...) Yep, those photos need some croppin' alright! (...) Would it be possible to reduce the links by one unit to tention them slightly? It craves for another motor and skid steering :) Best regards, /Tobbe (URL) SPAM when e-mailing) (21 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.town)

Re: Good String for Your Models

If it's anything like the teflon coated fishing line I'm using (for fishing actually) it's also a little harder to knot then normal fishing lines. The coating makes it run more smooth trough holes and the streanght is tremendous for it's diameter. (...) (21 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Make Your Own HiTechnic Style Radio Control?

Personally I use servos connected either to pneumatic switches or polarity switches. It's not a small solution but I feel it's more LEGO pure as I'm only replacing what my fingers could do with the servos. See my site for a lot of examples of this. (...) I need at least four of them ...... Dennis (...) (21 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: and you thought I'd lost my mind when I built a turkey...

(...) I like! This MOC have a rich array of neat functions and details but the one that strikes me the most is the short pause before the drop - now if that won't get the adrenaline pumping what will? I like the selection of faces, I noticed them (...) (21 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: and you thought I'd lost my mind when I built a turkey...

(...) Brickish Association displays. While I think, your Fright Knights ride - I've done a few models with concentric drives. I started with the differential gear casing, then my windmill uses a technic turntable, but one of the smallest is in use (...) (21 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic)

(...) of Technic/Mindstorms building. What's next, a roller coaster? :-) (21 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Rotary Engine

(...) Here is another type of rotary engine. It looks very similar to a radial but differs in that the crank shaft is stationary and the cylinders turn with the prop. (URL) Paul (21 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Rotary Engine

Rotary engines are a bit obscure, but they don`t loko interesting in a finished technic model. Or would be hard to do... 8466 with fourwheel steering? i have one sitting on my desk, rear axle is built like the front one and it has 4 wheel drive and (...)   Re: and you thought I'd lost my mind when I built a turkey...

(...) Hey, Technic is as subject to fads as any other theme :) (...) Absolutely. Seeing the movies is definitely helpful, but there's nothing like seeing this in person. Finding homes for everything to get all my stuff to brickfest will be a (...) (21 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: and you thought I'd lost my mind when I built a turkey...

(...) Hehe, no mirrors necessary here. Brickshelf is running nice and fast these days :) Thanks for the kind words (and the offer) Adrian -- (URL) (21 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Rotary Engine

I think it would be kinda cool if TLG made a rotary engine to the scale of the new style pistons. If you don't know what a rotary engine is, see this: (URL) well. One can dream, right? And how about making a second generation 8880 supercar? With (...) (21 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Pneumatic Engines

(...) It would be fun to make it a v8 with eight new double acting pneumatic pistons (if you had enough). Really powerful, but kinda big. Might take too much effort to pump it though. Guess it would be a v16 then, with 16 power strokes per cycle. MM (21 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Pneumatic Engines

(...) You could time how long it takes to winch a small amount of weight hanging off the edge of a table top a certain distance. See the recent power pulling threads to see what I mean. From that you can figure out torque and horsepower. or You (...) (21 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: and you thought I'd lost my mind when I built a turkey...

(...) Very cool. It's quite a change of pace from the usual crane MOC and bi-ped walker (not that there's anything wrong with those :-) Nicely done! Will this be coming to Brickfest with you? I hope so. I'd love to see it in action up close. -TJ (21 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Unknown Technic Sticker Question

(...) Definitely awesome, but I think the best technic helicopter is the one with a helipad from set 8485 control center II. (21 years ago, 15-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: S@H: Where are the compressor pump sets?
