I live in Auburn, AL -- quite a ways from Huntsville (4-5 hour drive,

back to the subject of heat: I did a VERY INFORMAL test of 'baking' a
LEGO piece for about 15 minutes in my oven at about 160 degrees
Fahrenheit. It survived, none the worse for wear. It was a 2x4 white
brick. While in the oven, I pressed upon the edges with a knife in an
attempt to distort it... it held.

I'm gonna try a longer duration with a couple of bricks together today.

I have a feeling a 120 degree attic won't actually cause problems
(though I'm not quite ready to bet several thousand dollars worth of
LEGO on it [grin]).

My LEGO was kept in the attic for 3 years, with a black slate roof that
really absorbed heat.  I've yet to find any problems with any of the bricks.
The only thing I found that might be cause for concern was some of the airplanes
that were sitting on runway plates stuck slightly.
