The newer Stone colors tend to have a more obvious blue component, while the
older classic shades of gray tend more towards a yellow shift. For the browns,
the original shade is the darker of the two. The new shade of brown has more
red.
I keep a sample board of all the colors that I have obtained (1x2s preferred,
but when I dont have them I use something to simulate one).
Here is a picture of the board. The
tags for 44 and 47 I think are incorrect (should be MdOrange and MdLime).
When trying to differentiate between Gray and MdStone, I compare them under a
bright desk lamp. Under that lighting, the yellow vs blue is usually visible.
