Heh, I dunno, I bet most people spend a good chunk of change on storage systems.
I've easily tallied up over $700 worth just now out of curiosity. I've got 28
slotted slotted sorty-bins worth about $230, 43 tupperware bins worth about
$363.50, shelves worth $100, and 3 filing bins for about $30 (actually, the
filing bins may be more, I dunno). So $723.50 (about £403) in storage, plus
about 53 Lego boxes that I use for sorting which I didn't really pay for
directly, but use anyway for storage.
Wow. Now I feel like a sucker for having spent nearly $1000 on storage alone.
(and I guess I do shell out more for having a 2-bedroom apartment instead of a
1-bedroom) But then again I suppose I should feel like a sucker for spending as
much as I do on Lego to begin with.

Wow, that makes a big difference-- certainly on a cost per piece basis yours is
more expensive, since I've got roughly 350,000 pieces (I'm just under the 350
mark, ever so close). $1 per 40 pieces versus $1 per 480 pieces.
