Re: Good lightweight shelving for display?

Call me a ditto head. I've had Ivar for 5 years and just keep getting more. One thing I did that I wish I hadn't... I used a very nice stain, but then did not put a wear surface shellac on it... now the stain shows the original pine through where it (...) (25 years ago, 16-Sep-99, to lugnet.storage)

Re: Good lightweight shelving for display?

(...) I use the IVAR series from IKEA. They are cheap, you can finish them or not, as you like, easy to assemble, disassemble, change configaration and move, and they are very strong - I have some in my living room holding the hardback book (...) (25 years ago, 16-Sep-99, to lugnet.storage)

  Good lightweight shelving for display?

Does anyone know of good, lightweight shelving that works well for displaying assembled sets (and possibly boxes and directions)? I'm rebuilding old sets from my childhood and from someone's collection I bought, and I'd like to set them out for view (...) (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Wohoo!!! Sorted it all!

(...) Hi Fredrick! As a novice AFOL, I would have to agree with you about the counter productive part. It seems like all I do is sort these days. The dragster is still sitting with only a technic shaft frame, the dune buggy with a twin carb VW style (...) (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Automatic sorting

(...) If you're looking to get a *bunch* of them, contact Plano directly. I bought several dozen of the 3700s for around $2.50 each: (URL) G (25 years ago, 14-Sep-99, to lugnet.storage)

  RE: Automatic sorting

(...) The 37xx can often be had in a 3pack for about 10 dollars US. The shallowest and medium units are about $4 and the deep unit is about 5$ Your mileage may vary...   RE: Automatic sorting

(...) Cool! How many others out there in LUGNET land use modified 37xx boxes??? I should point out that there are VERY few bits that don't fit into one or another 37xx box from PLANO. If you're willing to use the deeper ones, then even the RCX and (...) (25 years ago, 13-Sep-99, to lugnet.storage)
