Stupid slang expressions.
This could evolve into a mega-thread.
Hip is medium dorky - the variant of "Hep Cat" was worse. And, since the
passing of Sammy Davis Jr., only seems to apply to Paul whatsisname on
Letterman. And Word! is just, well, stupid. What is really bad about it is,
you can't just utter the expression any old way. You have to give it that
forceful inflection. Which only serves to make the person saying it look even
more stupid.
Concerning "It's so Wizard!", I predict that it will become a popular slang
term for use by boys age 6 to 11. Though it will rapidly die out. (1)
