Yes, I work at K-Mart, at the Customer Service desk. The K-Mart
Employee Discount is 10% off most items EXCEPT:
Groceries, tobacco and alcohol products, sale merchandise (except when
the sale is less than 10% off, in which case you just get 10% off),
licenses, lottery tickets, guns, ammunition, and a bunch of other stuff.
Unless I am terribly mistaken, everyone gets the same discount, even
management.
Lego is discounted, but it's usually better to wait for a sale; we run
them about once every six weeks, and it always seems to be either 20%
off or buy 1/get 1 50% off.
A little more on-topic: yes, I was kidding (exaggerating) about actually
having 15,000 Lukes. I think I have six, if you don't count the four
that I have lying around from extra speeder bikes sets bought this week.
(Yes, I already sent off two as promised. I haven't decided yet whether
to give the other four to the next four people who email_ed_ (past
tense) me. I probably will.) Even at current K-Mart prices (40% off),
buying Landspeeders ($5.99 regular price) in the lowest sales tax
bracket in the area (6.3%), it's still about $54K. Which is more than
my college student/K-Mart income allows. ;-)

| Ben, Having lurked on this thread, I have to ask: I'm assuming you work at K-mart, or something like that? What's the employee discount like? I worked at Target for a time, and it was 90% of retail price. James (25 years ago, 10-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)
