Well, I have to say, it's a cute little thing.  I think it's a worthy
addition to the fleet, and looks better than the model I did (on a side
note, go look at my Z-95 at
http://www.pcisys.net/~jmbrown/LEGOOutpost.html ).  For the people
saying it's too small, the A-Wing is 9.6 meters long.  The model is 21
studs long, making a conversion factor of 2.2, THE SAME as the X-Wing.
In fact, it's longer than it should be (by 4 studs using the 1.8
factor).  Guns look like they rotate, even if they are a little too big,
and I don't know how much they'll want to say forward facing...  The
cockpit looks like it's hinged on the front.  Those stilly black tube
thing landing gear, which I personally don't mind, as I've made a lot of
fighters in this scale that used removable instead of retractable gear.
The B-Wing is snazzy too, and one can always use more astromech droids.
:)

(...) I've been staring at the pictures of the new Star Wars sets for over an hour and I keep shaking my head. They don't look all that bad but the A-wing. I like the shape of it but I was hoping for some new tan and brown pieces from lego. Oh well, (...) (25 years ago, 22-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)
