This is going to be a burning question in my mind for a few months, I
guess. I just hope that whatever the method is they use, that is a
creative one, and not something that is really lame.
My theory on the back is this:
In order for the model to be held and played with by kids, it won't
have a bunch of small parts arranged to form what looks like
mechanical detail. It will probably be something simple. A special
purpose detail piece is simple but a little unlikely, if for no other
reason than the production effort and cost.
A plain, boring wall is possible. But I hope TLG doesn't sink that
low. So that leaves tiles. Tile(s) with a printed pattern on them
would be relatively cheap to produce and would look "acceptable". At
least to the target audience.
