Just got back from the theatre -- (saw the trailer 5 times, muahahaa :)
Tim, You Said It!!! Man, talk about intense, and talk about a new "look &
feel." This is like Star Wars Episode IV meets Dune meets Willow meets
Flash Gordon meets Evel Knieval meets Aladdin meets The Shining meets Mortal
Kombat (...but in a good way).

I read Tim's comment just before heading out...and didn't quite know what to
expect. Wow, Tim, talk about understatement. :) Threepio looks different
in a way I never would have guessed! (I was thinking more of a difference
on the level of Yoda.) I think Artoo looked pretty much the same, if indeed
that was Artoo in the background with Shmi Skywalker.

It didn't seem like that so much -- it's more like 50's sci-fi, or what my
recollection of it is. Or like mid-60's grade-school science texts on what
space stations of the future would look like. Lots of round things and not
too many straight lines. Big contrast with Episodes IV-VI, which is cool in
way.
I wonder what ship that big shiny silver thing was near the beginning of the
trailer...I don't think it was supposed to be the Millenium Falcon...?
Neeson and McGregor look like they're going to be great in this movie. Not
so sure about Jackson and Portman (lines sounded like they were being read
from a card), but we'll see.
Ran into a couple guys from THE FORCE.NET, who said the trailer would be out
on general release this weekend. IMHO, it's well worth paying $N just to
see the trailer -- if you're into SW and that sort of thing. OTOH,
the official SW site has just tonight put up the trailer online!
