There are several types of such mechanisms... rotating, sliding, rotating-cam, telescoping, etc. It seems that the MF really couldn't make use of rotating or (...) | | | | | | My landing gear rotate down into a locked position. I believe the 'real' millennium Falcon landing gear telescopes down.
