  size of Lego MF revisited

As if this hasn't been hashed enough already, here is some more info for everyone. Given you are tyring to build a Lego Millennium Falcon in 'minifig' scale. And given that the Lego Y-wing and X-wing are minifig scale, here are a few numbers Length (...) (26 years ago, 11-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: size of Lego MF revisited

(...) Hehe.. That's funny. But it's also weird. I remember a friend of mine, who has talent for drawing, seriously depicting the MF some years ago, and I thought his picture of it looked like a hamburger and had to ask him what it was. That little (...) (26 years ago, 11-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: size of Lego MF revisited

(...) It seems that common items are often inspiration for SW ships' appearances or sounds--the MF's engine sound eluded Lucas and Co. until they were staying in a no-tell motel one night and the air conditioner malfunctioned--making the perfect (...) (26 years ago, 11-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

At any rate, there are lots of food references- for example, (...) (26 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Star (...) IIRC, the original Millennium Falcon model eventually mutated into the Rebel Blockade Runner (aka Tantive IV, aka Corellian Corvette). Chad (26 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: size of Lego MF revisited

(...) Thanks for the info! I did a quick check of my B-Wing, and guess what? It is about 45 studs long, fitting the scale! It is 4 meters longer than an X-Wing, which comes to about 11 studs. When I built it, I wasn't even trying to scale it (...) (26 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: size of Lego MF revisited

(...) WooHoo! So is mine! At least by doing the 'count the studs on the picture' method. I count 46 studs for the length of my B-Wing. I too happened to scale by sheer luck. Dang! My X-Wing comes in at 58 studs. But it looks good. :-) -- Terry K -- (26 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)
