The bow and stern parts are much more "SPUD'y" than the mid-sections.
They (bows & sterns) *can* be adapted to to other uses, especially for
large-scale constructions. But their unique shape makes it much harder.
Ditto for the masts - they don't have many connection points, it's hard
to use them for anything other than long, pointy, poles.
