Has a kind of Hind feel to me. The Hind also had a rather large 'cargo' area
for an attack helicopter (the Soviets tried to use it as a dual purpose
craft, kinda like a flying infantry fighting vehicle). This would fit the
Gunship's role of being a support craft - it would be used primary to
transport troops to the action, and remain to provide fire support. It would
NOT be suitable to be a main fighting vehicle like say a battle tank or a
starfighter...
Hmmm - would not surprise me to see that the Republic (under Palpatine)
protrayed along the lines of the Soviet Union on the verge of it's collapse...
