Re: Another one of those 'what's wrong with TPM' posts

In lugnet.starwars, Christopher Tracey writes: A very interesting thought! I hadn't looked at it this way before. Almost everyone will agree that the effects are good, the technology is no more laughable than in the original trilogy, etc, but this (...) (24 years ago, 31-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Another one of those 'what's wrong with TPM' posts

I've been meaning to post this for some time. I think one of the major problems with The Phantom Menace is that it is not a 'buddy movie.' In the original trilogy, you have several strong friendships/partnerships that aren't present in TPM. Examples (...) (24 years ago, 31-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Is anyone else...

Is anybody else alittle bit miffed at the fact that the UCS X-Wing has a mini-fig R2-D2 in the droid socket! How hard would it have been to make one. The only piece they would have had to make "new" would be a....give me a minute....none. Paint the (...) (24 years ago, 31-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: UCS

Check out my old post regarding the 100% accurate scans I made of all the UCS sticker sheets in Word format. You can print them out and then cut them out and stick them with tape to your 12 1x8 black tiles as well as all over the X Wing. That way (...) (24 years ago, 31-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Looking over the pics on Brickshelf: (URL) feel more and more that I may have to part with $250...These look like some of the best sets I have seen in a while...tons of pieces, tons of detail. --Bram (24 years ago, 31-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Urban Legends

Although not directly connected to Lego, I thought this was cool. The official Star Wars site is debunking some old urban legends at: (URL) (24 years ago, 30-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: MF at Zainy Brainy in NJ

The Zany in Schaumburg had them also. I picked one up on friday night. I have it about 50% complete. While I have some minor complaints about the set, I think this is one of their best. Here are some comments/observations/opinions: c-3po isn't just (...) (24 years ago, 29-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Y-Wing

I decided to take one last glorious summer off before hitting school hard again this fall, so I quit my job, sold my car and hauled out the Lego full force! This quitting my job thing was a gold mine! I can play with Lego all day now. Anyways I was (...) (24 years ago, 29-May-00, to lugnet.starwars) !!

  Re: Chewie's Bowcaster

(...) Woohoo! That kicks so hard! Love the black crossbow!!! I betcha that when Tim "Asked Lego" about it in regards to the Falcon set, and they answered that "he doesn't come with it so you'd better buy a castle set" or something, that when they (...)   Chewie's Bowcaster

Just checked out FBTB. There's a pic on the main page showing the SW minifig sets (2nd series). The pic of Chewie and Biker Scouts show the wookie holding a black crossbow! That's cool! I heard that he wasn't gonna have his Bowcaster. -Chris (24 years ago, 27-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)
