  Re: EPII Republic Assault Ship

Actually from the DK "Attack of the Clones Incredible Cross-Sections" book and screen captures from the movie DVD. I hadn't seen the LEGO version until it was pointed out on the FBTB MOC forum. roger (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Yeah, it's possible. :) It's funny... I've never seen any sci-fi movie other then Space Odessey 2001. -JHK (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Bib Fortuna's drift skimmer - The Krayt

Very nice. I like to see moving bits on ships and this is pretty much all moving bits. I reckon it'd be a little unstable at 300mph though, but it'd look really cool doing it. The colours capture the Tatooine feeling really well, you just need a bit (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Bib Fortuna's drift skimmer - The Krayt

Very cool and interesting design. As I'm sure was the idea, the name is very fitting. It has a very serpintine fell to it. Jason (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Bib Fortuna's drift skimmer - The Krayt

That's cool. I don't know about the Star Wars story part (having never seen Star Wars) but I must say that it looks cool. It's a very unorthodox design that yet works well for it's intended purpose. All the details, and the use of slopes and tiles (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

My 8002 Destroyer Droid didn't come with errata sheet!

Hello all, I read countless times on Lugnet that the 8002 set Destroyer Droid is supposed to come with a sheet that corrects errors made in the manual. I got mine MISB, but have no such sheet. I didn't have time to try to build the droid yet. Is it (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic)

Re: Bib Fortuna's drift skimmer - The Krayt

(...) Hey, Bib- rockin' ride! I couldn't quite figure out what was going on in the landed configuration, but when I saw the flight config it all made sense. Very cool design! -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Bib Fortuna's drift skimmer - The Krayt

Bib writes: 'Thanks for the comments on Krayt....she's the bomb for cruising the Mos on Saturday nights. I've asked my friend George to whip up a little vignette for you over at ILM. He owes me....apparently my great granfather was actually the guy (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Bib Fortuna's drift skimmer - The Krayt

Thankye sir. Bib may just have the Krayt stored away should his arrangments with Jabba turn out to be less than favorable. How long can you find job satisfaction in feeding frogs to a giant worm? ;) Cheers, -G (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Bib Fortuna's drift skimmer - The Krayt

Many thanks Matt! My 2 favorite places in the SW lore are Tatooine and Hoth, so this one just had to be done. All the Tatooine vehicles seem either squat and bulking or very frail and wispy....almost like the vegetation...stout cacti or desert (...)   Re: Bib Fortuna's drift skimmer - The Krayt

Bey Bib, That's a sure strange ship of yours. It's the sort of thing that looks super interesting, but an animation of it in flight (i mean, done like ILM quality) would look super-amazing. Great idea on getting Toradoch Industries to make it for (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Bib Fortuna's drift skimmer - The Krayt

Wow! Thats a great ship. Tell Bib that he should have kept it instead of going to work for that fat slug, Jabba :). Excellent work as always. I don't even want to imagine the damage this beauty did to your pocketbook, Matt. Worth every penny tho'....it really has come together wonderfully.   Re: Bib Fortuna's drift skimmer - The Krayt

Hey Gil! I first saw the Krayt at FBTB, but I'll say it again...flat-out kick a$$ design! Once more, the color scheme is great for a Tatooine ship. After reading the text more closely, I now understand the inspiration behind the design. It seems Bib (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

New MOC: AT-AT, pic series I

Hi everyone! I've been diagnosed with full-blown AT-AT fever. This is my latest creation: (URL) be sure to put up series II as soon as the interior and other small details are complete (I still need plates for the knees). Dave Eaton and Shaun (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.starwars)
