Re: Moonbase: Nailing down Moonway and Rail Standard

(...) Having short cars was one of the main ideas in the beginning, yeah. (...) You might just have a good point there. It would be nice to raise the race-track but then we have to worry about running into monorail. (URL) [ j o n ] (URL) zemi.net> (...) (20 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, FTX)

I got stalled on this one near the end. I have to work on some other projects soon so I thought I'd show what I'd built so far: (URL) Can you figure out which theme it's for? (...) The second I hit send on my second message in this thread, yours showed up in the newsticker. Nice timing. I've considered the train car length and see what you mean. The first idea was just to keep the cars short, but I do see how that is (...) (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, FTX)

Me again. I was just catching up on the cool container threads that were going on awhile ago. Jason, Jake etc came up with some really great ideas. But this brings up a new issue. Most of the container ideas thrown around are 8 wide. This clashes (...) (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: The Shipyard Should Return

(...) I really want to keep it 100 studs and up. We decided a while ago that SHIPs[1] are 100 studs and up and I'd like to keep this site focused on that. I'm not even sure that BLIPs[2] should be included. These are ships that are over 100 studs in (...) (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Moonbase: Nailing down Moonway and Rail Standard

Let's hammer this out for good this week. I'd like to put it on the Moonbase site soon. We'll work on width first. Look at this bad pic: (URL) Lenny has proposed that the train track also be moved to the seam between baseplates. I see pros and cons (...) I know Kyle has mentioned wanting to help with this. I'm all for that but I'd also like to mention it to the rest of .space to get ideas. This is what it will be: A website for minifig scale SHIPs. Anything 100 studs and up. Nothing else. Probably (...) (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) I can never get enough space tugs. Hell if I saw a space tug every week I'd be a happy man. This is definitely one of the best ones I've seen.
