I think, on further reflection, I shall be forced to recant my earlier
statement that 2x5 beds are too darn small-- looking at

and then looking at my own version of bed-stuck-in-an-arctic-base-window,

(which doesn't really show that the yellow and black bunks on the left are
recessed in the base-wall segment), it's easy to tell which looks better, and
not just because my digital camera needs replacing. :) I think my explorer
ship is getting a refit soon. I'd been thinking of extending the aft hold
anyhow to try to get a real engineering section in it as opposed to just a
large console between the captain's stateroom and the crew living area.
