  Scale Question

Just wondering what people are using for scale names. I have been using: Nano for anything greater than 1:36 studs, Pico 1:24 range, Super-Micro 1:16, and Micro as 1:2 up to 1:10 or so. I have seen models with scale of 1:600 as "Micro" and some at (...) (23 years ago, 28-Jan-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Scale Question

(...) I don't think most people take it as literally as you seem to be. I've always considered things pretty broadly, as I think most people do. Nano = really teeny scale Micro = smaller than minifig, but larger than nano Minifig scale = anything (...) (23 years ago, 28-Jan-01, to lugnet.space)

  RE: Scale Question

(...) And then there are all the scales I build at :) Double-width Minifig = 6 to 10 wide vehicles with room for at least two minifigs side by side. My models at this scale are usually 8 wide, but some people build 6 wide ones. Miniland Scale = the (...) (23 years ago, 28-Jan-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Scale Question

(...) I had thought it was a Train reference but was not sure. I see what you mean with 5571, But is that not a 1:1 and the others 1:1.33 and 1:1.66 for 8 and 6 wide? Did I miss something? Thanks for the pointers, you too Mark. I think I am going to (...) (23 years ago, 29-Jan-01, to lugnet.space)

  RE: Scale Question

(...) What I meant by this is that width:length:height are in the same proportions as the dimensions of the actual vehicle. (...) I don't know what you mean by scale based on wheel base...but I have built models based on the size of available LEGO (...) (23 years ago, 29-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: Scale Question

Somebody really should post a offical (or close) scale list on a web site. This way everyone would know what the scales were in relation to normal model building. Just my $.02 worth...:) Matthew Morley (...) (23 years ago, 29-Jan-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Scale Question

(...) I disagree, I think that setting up some sort of "official" scaling would be a bad idea. I would hate to think that everytime I post a MOC I'd have to worry about someone saying: "That's really neat but it's not to scale, citing section A417 (...) (...) I'm with you, Bryan. Scale schmale. I build things so they "look" right. ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (23 years ago, 29-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: Scale Question

(...) I disagree with this for many reasons: LEGO spaceship MOCs are not real - there is no true size to guage scale from. The application of 'fig-scale' helps to indicate how big we think it should be. There is no 'accurate' scaling that applies to (...) (23 years ago, 29-Jan-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Scale Question

(...) I hope no one thinks I am trying to format such an idea. My question was more to find out what method others are using in describing their MOC's and Scales. I have a better idea now that I know that some builders are using Humans as 1:1 and (...) (23 years ago, 30-Jan-01, to lugnet.space)
