Hi there
Here's something a built recently: The heavy ion cannon fighter.
The ship was somehow inspired by the work of John Douglass. You can find his
ion cannon frigate "Feng Zhu" here: http://www.artships.com/2001/index.php
My ship is more or less in micro-scale 1:35 (see the pilot in one of the
pictures for illustration). The crew is something like 2 or 3.
It features one huge ion cannon and two fast firing laser cannons (one on
each side).
There are two pairs of sublight-engines and of course there's also a
hyperdrive.
The crew-members have some small quarters in the 'nose' of the fighter.
Well, enough description, have a look at the pictures (please excuse the
poor picture quality/lighting..). Enjoy! Feedback appreciated.

| (...) radars on the sides are a good look. The mounting for the huge cannon looks good and strong. I like the detailing at the engine exhaust as well, as it's not overdone. I like your color scheme, and the overall ion cannon construction, specifically the rocket fin piece pinned in reverse to the 4X4 round brick, the reversed (...) | Sexy, reminds me of The Fifth Element a bit. I like the way you colored this beast - good scheme, good control. The detailing is nice too, especially the main engine port. I actually kinda like the boat hulls, but I think they need something more (...) (20 years ago, 28-Nov-04, to lugnet.space)
