    ALC Orca Dropship —Trevor Pruden
Just a little something I was working on this week for an upcoming toy and hobby show. There is a super module that goes with it, but I'll post pics on that later. Comments are always appreciated. (URL) Enjoy! (URL) ~Trev (20 years ago, 25-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: ALC Orca Dropship —Jean-Pascal Rignault
(...) Nope, that's a BIG MOC. Hi Trevor, I like the color scheme you used for this dropship, even if some might say it's to "McDonaldish" (red and yellow). It's the second time I see a cargo / drop ship with entire floor of the cargo area being the (...) (20 years ago, 25-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: ALC Orca Dropship —Trevor Pruden
(...) Well, that's a new comment! :^) All of my offline comments regarding the coloring scheme have been positive. But thanks, none-the-less! I was aiming for crisp lines, sort of like the Cosmic Dancer (URL), where not a lot of greeblies is needed, (...) (20 years ago, 25-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: ALC Orca Dropship —Jean-Pascal Rignault
(...) No no, don't worry I have no problem with the color scheme, I think it's really fine. It's just that I remember maybe one or two years ago, a ship from Mladen Pagic was using massive red and yellow coloring, which can seem a little strange for (...)      In lugnet.space, Jean-Pascal Rignault wrote: <snip> (...) Well, I do thank both you and Mark for the constructive feedback on the colors. If you ever see my older stuff, you'ld probably agree that I've come a long way. And like I said before, it was (...) (20 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

"We're in the pipe! Five by five!" Dude, I feel the badass spirit of the "Aliens" dropship all over this baby. Thick, sleek, and no-nonsense! I really like the minimal greebling and color scheme, it lets you focus more on the lines of the ship. Dave (20 years ago, 25-Nov-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: ALC Orca Dropship —Mark Sandlin
(...) I don't care for the red+yellow myself. I think one or the other would be good. You woudn't happen to play some Warhammer 40k would you? Or maybe the Fire Warrior PS2 game... (URL) -Grand Admiral .space Curator (URL) (20 years ago, 25-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: ALC Orca Dropship —Trevor Pruden
(...) I take it then that you don't care for certain red and yellow Asian national flags. ;) I wonder what the look and feel would be like I had also used asian minifig faces on the troopers? Besides, the Fire Warrior craft is primarily yellow with (...) (20 years ago, 25-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: ALC Orca Dropship —Mark Sandlin
(...) Actually it's a yellowish tan with a reddish brown ;) (...) It's a frightfully expensive model from the fine folks at (URL) Despite my color objections, you built a darn nice moc. :) -Grand Admiral .space Curator (URL) (20 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: ALC Orca Dropship —Trevor Pruden
(...) Thanks, Mark, Coming from the Grand Admiral, that's a real compliment. On that note, I just finished swapping all the remaining yellow out with red. I'll have updated pics, probably Monday night. My wife took a look at it and agreed with (...) (20 years ago, 27-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: ALC Orca Dropship —Chappie Adams
(...) I really like this ship. The more I look at it the more I like it. My only suggestion is if those things on the side are thrusters, perhaps beef them up some and add air intakes. (20 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: ALC Orca Dropship —Trevor Pruden
(...) Sigh. That's what the big yellow (soon to be red) intake vanes on the front are FOR. :) This design has dual spamcake plasma drives (exo-atmospheric) and conventional scramjets (endo-atmospheric), both of which utilize the same thrust nozzles.      (...) Snip (...) I have this feeling you have already drawn up the schematics and are preparing to build the real version now. (20 years ago, 27-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: ALC Orca Dropship —Trevor Pruden
(...) I have one already parked out in the barn. What can I say? I'm that good. (URL) ~Trev (20 years ago, 27-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: ALC Orca Dropship —Gil Shaw
(...) Interesting ship, Trevor. The shape is immediately recognizable as a drop ship.....I'm always amazed how strongly Aliens has imprinted on our collective spacey consciousness. I can see where you are going with the colours...blocking them in (...) (20 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Vehicles? Come now, that would suggest that I would have to had to purposely postion the seats off to the side to ensure a vehicle never touches an obstruction, as well as provide features for securing a vehicle inside the cargo hold. Possibly (...) (20 years ago, 27-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
