Finally... The U.S.S. Crusader (please take a peek!) —Chris Giddens
Hi, I've finally gotten some pictures of my space ship. It's not close to being done and there's much more detail to show. The ship is about 5 feet long will be 3.5 feet wide when the wings are built. What you'll see is the basic hull, bridge and (...) (24 years ago, 1-Oct-00, to lugnet.space) !

Wow! A big spaceship! I want to make a big spaceship too... Well, since I've built a town, guess the next thing I'll build is a giant spaceship... and thanks to bulk ordering, I can build it in gray. On to you model now... The birdge looks good, and (...)      (...) Yeah, it kinda bothered me that I can't get bulk blue from LEGO. I guess i'll have to keep ebaying it. (...) There should now be an interior shot of the bridge at the site: (URL) a small description of what you'll see. The Captain's chair ala (...) (24 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.space)

(...) Oh... Now I see. I just viewed the thumbnails for the vehicle (shame on me^-^) and it looked yellow on the thumbnails. --Tobias (24 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.space)

Hi Chris! (...) Nice. It looks like you've done some significant re-design since the move. If I recall, you said that the ship didn't survive the move too well, did any components survive, or is this a ground up re-build? It looks like you have more (...)      (...) I (...) Hey Frank! Well, this is a ground up rebuild. Nothing really survived to well. Some of my smaller creations lived but the original U.S.S. Discovery didn't survive. The crew did and they've got a new ship. (...) when (...) Yeah, I'm (...) (24 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: Finally... The U.S.S. Crusader (please take a peek!) —Paul Davidson
Very nice! Terrific design and colour for such a large ship--mine will only be half that size when done. I really like the enormous shuttle bay and your idea of using a space baseplate for it. Did you find a good way to secure it, given the odd (...) (24 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: Finally... The U.S.S. Crusader (please take a peek!) —Mike Petrucelli
(...) Chris, I totally agree with this. I personally love large space ships. (URL) can see some of mine here if you like. You are the first person I know of besides me that built a ship almost entirely one color on the outside. I like the design. (...) (24 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: Finally... The U.S.S. Crusader (please take a peek!) —Chris Giddens
(...) Yep, I've seen your stuff before! I really like it. It spurred me on to rebuild after my first big ship was destroyed during my move back to GA. Lots of ebay buys have built up my blue brick supply. Anyway, the U.S.S. Crusader is a Military (...) (24 years ago, 3-Oct-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: Finally... The U.S.S. Crusader (please take a peek!) —Chris Giddens
(...) oof. That would be a chore. I've quickly counted and the ship is 230 - 240 "bumps" long. That's 7 baseplates +. I wonder how big of an instruction book that would be. :-) Chris <>< (24 years ago, 3-Oct-00, to lugnet.space)
