Ground attack aircraft, "Bolt" —Kyle Vrieze
Hello, .spacers, I've posted in .build.mecha for a while now, but this is my first time posting here. I've built a ground-attack aircraft named the "Bolt" (okay, I'm probably better at building 'em than naming 'em). (2 URLs) The cockpit has room for (...)         Re: Ground attack aircraft, "Bolt" —Kevin Heckel
Hey Kyle, This thing is prettier than me with makeup on. Seriously, though, the stomach-lurching angles you've got those studs in is great. You got the anime-esque angry spaceship look down. One criticism, the gun in front (while nifty on its own) (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Ground attack aircraft, "Bolt" —Kyle Vrieze
(...) Glad you liked it! You would definitely know the "anime-esque angry spaceship look" when you saw it :-) I know what you mean about the gun, though. I thought about cutting my technic tubing to give it a shorter barrel, but I just couldn't (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Ground attack aircraft, "Bolt" —Kevin Heckel
(...) I certainly have no idea what you might be referring to! :p (...) Oh, I know what you mean! When I wanna use those, I just find a good size, is all, not like that Soren kid, he just hacks away. You should see the kinds of things he's done to (...)         Re: Ground attack aircraft, "Bolt" —Soren Roberts
The phrase "penultimate sexiness" comes to mind. Great design. I love the engines, the cockpit and the angles around the nose. Great job! Soren (20 years ago, 5-Jun-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: Ground attack aircraft, "Bolt" —Kyle Vrieze
(...) Thanks for the reply, Soren. Nice to know you enjoyed it! (20 years ago, 5-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Ground attack aircraft, "Bolt" —Mladen Pejic
Excellent work Kyle! I love the aggressive look it has. I also like the ridiculously huge gatling gun up front... It just adds to the wackiness, in a good way! :-) The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is your grouping of those three (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Ground attack aircraft, "Bolt" —Kyle Vrieze
(...) Aggressive wackiness, that's exactly what I was going for! (...) There was something about the missile launchers that I knew I didn't like. They're at a right angle to the center line of the ship, and also to the cylinders below. I wanted to (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Ground attack aircraft, "Bolt" —Daniel Rubin
(...) I love this thing! So many excellent angles. I am impressed that you managed to use such a large canopy on a pretty small ship. And I don't care what those other folks say, I like the long gun, it gives the imression that it snipes the mechs (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Ground attack aircraft, "Bolt" —Kyle Vrieze
(...) Thanks for your comments, Dan. Glad you liked it! And it's kind of a relief to hear from someone who didn't think the cannon should be shorter... (20 years ago, 6-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Ground attack aircraft, "Bolt" —David Rabadan
(...) Wow! First the Antimech aircraft and now the Bolt. It is absolutelly great! I wish I could single out what my favorite part of the Bolt is but I love everything about it. I keep getting impressed by your MOCs. Keep them coming. David. (20 years ago, 7-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Ground attack aircraft, "Bolt" —Kyle Vrieze
(...) Thanks for the response, David. It seems like the Appleseed fans have taken a liking to this one--yourself, Soren, Mladen, and I would guess Kevin Heckel also. If I remember right, Dan Rubin claimed not to have seen Shirow's work, but some of (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
