Here’s my entry in the contest. It’s a garbage truck used for plucking defunct satellites and other space debris from orbit.

It’s a bit derivative, being part Quark’s garbage ship, part Chris Giddens’ PCS, and just a little bit Pete’s Dragon. Anyway, I had fun building it, and the boy gave it the thumbs up: “It’s got lots of activities!”

plmkwyt.

Allister, this is an excellent MOC and a wonderful contest entry. Aside from the clean and straightforward design and colour scheme, what strikes me the most about this model are it’s anthropomorphic qualities. You made it seem as though the spacecraft is grabbing garbage with it’s “hands” and then devouring it into it’s “mouth”, and then digesting it into it’s “rear-end”. That’s all too much for me! Haha! Such hilarity. Nicely done.
