Hopping on the big, green bandwagon.... (URL) Cheers, -Gil (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX) !

Re: New Moc: Cabin Hover Car

(...) snip (...) snip (...) Thank you Lenny. OK, let's use my bragging rights: I love how this little thing turned out. I fiddled about with those SNOT-parts every evening for the past three weeks. And now it looks so simple, like everything has (...) (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New Moc: Cabin Hover Car

(URL) This thing is just awesomely amazing. Either that or is totally tubular. Or perhaps super-cool. Ether way, the trans-dk-blue on red looks striking, and it is offset well by the light grey undertones of the greeblies on the bottom. You hear-by (...)   Re: New Moc: Cabin Hover Car

(...) The "mudguards" are in fact stabilizers... ;-) (...) Thank's for your feedback, Paul. I'm a great admirer of your LEGO work! Daniel (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Pirate-flavoured Tugboat

(...) Cool design. I like the big pusher plate, I've been wanting to use my long grey arched stickered mudguard thingies for ages too :-) Have you entered it in the civilian MOC contest? Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Pirate-flavoured Tugboat

Hi Kevin, Very nice tug you have here. And I spent some time having a look at your BS folder, wow, I am impressed! I really like the "Miasaki" feel in your work. Keep on building them like this! JP. (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Corellian "Corvette" in the Coruscant skyways

(...) That's a great effort. As well as what Lenny said. I agree with everything he said. ;-) Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Robriq Moobot

(...) Nice. I like how it can crouch down for unloading. I would have given it a head (a cow-ey snouty one), but I'm not about to tell you how you should design a robriq :-) Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Natty Ride (Civilian Contest Entry)

(...) Hehe. Nice one. I wouldn't mind something interesting on top of the 1x6 plate though. Apart from that, very natty. And nice one on the moonbase door, too. Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Greetings

(...) Welcome Bill. I wonder how many other people lurk but not post due to not being members. Thanks for posting your MOCs, they may not be impressive enough to get feeback, but don't be discouraged - keep examining and improving and you will get (...)   Re: Eastern Block Shuttle-Bus

(...) That's an interesting windscreen setup. Does the rear hatch stay shut on steep ascents? Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: A New Faction

(...) Uhh, dude, that's someone else suggesting the contest... as a joke, that is... Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New Moc: Cabin Hover Car

(...) Sweet ride, dude, very sleek. I like the chair mudguards. (...) Ah, a kindred spirit at last... :-) Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: A New Faction

(...) Actually, had his name been Dave instead of Mike, it could also have been a "HAL" joke. best LFB (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: New Moc: Cabin Hover Car

(...) Just forgot to mention: The stickers are made from the left-overs of the sticker sheet of the 8868 Airtech Claw Rig, so it's pure LEGO! The number on the sticker is the serial number of the sticker sheet. Happy building, Daniel (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Pirate-flavoured Tugboat

(...) Thanks for the compliments, Jon! My most favorite bit about this thing is that it manages to go "Vroom Vroom" in space. My least favorite bit, however, is the click-hinges holding on the ruddy rocket engine thingies. Jon, as you're one of the (...) (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Natty Ride (Civilian Contest Entry)

(...) I really just had to, it's such a fun theme (and an excuse to use the 'taboo' black bricks in a spacecraft) (...) Thanks, Lenny! But I have to warn you, I am susceptible to flattery. -Kevin (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Moonbase: Nailing down Moonway and Rail Standard

(...) The second I hit send on my second message in this thread, yours showed up in the newsticker. Nice timing. I've considered the train car length and see what you mean. The first idea was just to keep the cars short, but I do see how that is (...) (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Moonbase: Nailing down Moonway and Rail Standard

Me again. I was just catching up on the cool container threads that were going on awhile ago. Jason, Jake etc came up with some really great ideas. But this brings up a new issue. Most of the container ideas thrown around are 8 wide. This clashes (...) (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Moonbase: Nailing down Moonway and Rail Standard

(...) Ouch. Please take into account that any train-like construction over a certain (very short) length needs to be put on svivel (SP?) bases in order to be kept on track. So even if then train car stays within 6 studs, a car of 24-32 studs length (...) (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains)
