True...nostalgia is a powerful factor in the reverence the old CS sets enjoy here, but for me anyway it's the concept of playablility that comes through in the design and basic construction of the sets that tweaks me more so than the actual (...) Ley this is a great ship. I really like the slide-open cockpit and arch-insets in the wings. Like Paul, I'm not feeling the P-38 vibe on this one, but it is cool nonetheless. Like others have said, seeing this model immediately brang back memories of watching 2001: A Space Odyssey and hearing the accompanying music... I made this fighter quite some time ago as my first use of 3x12 wedge slopes. At meetings this is the favourite with the kids, the stowed-weapon function makes it very playable. The canopy was originally trans-red, more recently I acquired a (...) (22 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
