Re: 3vil Skull Drive etc. (was Re: Jeff Szklennik's T'Kunce Drive IRL)

(...) Well, tape isn't a problem. As for size, are you sure you want pea-brains making any kind of calculation? Do remember that if you manage to hook one of these up, you'll have six additional voices in your head. (...) Them are (URL) these.> I (...) (22 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) (URL) 1x1x2/3 with scala base. Also found as part of the machine guns on the Red Baron and Sopwith Camel sets. I'm in search of the one I lost at the moment. -Brian (22 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Can you build one of these small enough to tape to the back of my head for that extra calculus computing power? :) (...) Okay, that's the second time I've seen those little pink flowery things. Just what exactly are those, now? -Mike (22 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) snip Look man, you have a problem, this has to stop! Seriously though, how many of the chrome elbow pipes do you have? enough for one, or tons of these things? I have an idea to try out for one of these (replacing the inner brick with an array (...) (22 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Lord of the LEGO returns to .space!

(...) This is pretty cool, in shape it looks more like a Morgan or some other kind of car like a Rolls Royce from that old style than a race-car per-se (yes, I know there is now a morgan aero 8 racecar). The colors kinda remind me of an ambulance. I (...) (22 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Space MOC: Teardrop

(...) snip (...) I like the shape of this ship, especially the slopes that extend over the engines, and the engines themselves. I don't like the way that the gray parts and the white ones are isolated from eachother though. I think it might behoove (...) (22 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Two new craft

(...) My main reason for using the windows is that I just recently sorted a couple of Chambers of Secrets that I got on clearance at KB recently. In fact that ship is mostly parts from Harry Potter sets. I agree that the cockpit is pretty weak on (...) (22 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Two new craft

Hey, Good stuff. I especially like the way you constructed the wings on the tri-winged craft using the arched windows. We've seen a couple of MOCs using a lot of arched window elements like this lately, perhaps inspired by that new helicopter set? (...) (22 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: Trainhead gives space a whirl

I envision a remotely located moonbase evolving slowly. As more equipment and supplies arrive the cargo containers are re-used as parts of the base. I made these a while back and hauled examples to brickshelf last year : (URL) a cargo container that (...) (22 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space) !

  Re: Space MOC: Teardrop

(...) Hmmm...well, I like the shape and the landing gear... ...but... ...IMHO... I HATE THE COLORS! Sorry to be blunt, but none of them seem to match one another and the trans-red canopy look waaa...aaay out of place. I think the ship would look (...)   Re: The Lord of the LEGO returns to .space!

(...) None whatsoever with cool ships like this. I especially like some of the novel use of elements like skeleton torsos (how are those attached), the platter in the back, the battle droid bodies, and the dragon crest as hood ornament. Do the two (...) (22 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Trainhead gives space a whirl

(...) I would love to have a container standard for moonbase (or even space freighter) applications. It lends itself to a .Space container swap at large gatherings. :-) (...) I didn't catch that, but way cool! What better way to unload containers (...) (22 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

3vil Skull Drive etc. (was Re: Jeff Szklennik's T'Kunce Drive IRL)

As promised again. Apologies to those who've seen enough, but I seem to be driven to do this. What 3vil cap ship would want to be without such a cool power source? (URL) In other news we're having a braindrive for those less fortunate: (URL) Also (...) (22 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Space MOC: Teardrop

Here's the tiny Teardrop: (4 URLs) I'm very happy with the appearance, but the features are lacking. The landing gear is of questionable stability and the canopy doesn't open- and with 8 studs of binding surface and no good edges to grab, it's (...)   Re: Two new craft

snip (...) I think having wings protrude from the curved part of the wedges on the tail might indeed make for a neat shape, though I would have to rething the manuevering jets at the back. Interestingly, the ship actually does balance physically (...) (22 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Starship Corridor Study Model

(...) this looks fantastic. Even without a ship to support it, these would be excellent sets for a comic. -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (22 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Two new craft

(...) (URL) I'm not sure if this is what Mark is talking about, but I was observing that the ship looked awfully nose-heavy. If the rotating thrusters are supposed to be used for lift, it should balance around that point. And it really doesn't look (...) (22 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Two new craft

(...) The GA to the rescue! Thanks In what manner do you think I should beef up that tail? were you thinking thicker? or more greebed? My original plans had a vertical fin at the end of the tail, but I would have had to make the ship wider, which (...) (22 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
