I’m not sure if this is what Mark is talking about, but I was observing that the ship looked awfully nose-heavy. If the rotating thrusters are supposed to be used for lift, it should balance around that point. And it really doesn’t look like it does. Adding bulk would balance it out visually as well- like a horizontal wing between the top and bottom curves with more guns, or just making it thicker from top to bottom. Or even add another turret hanging down from the end.

Other than that, cool ship- I particularly like the use of the technic wheel-ish things as weapon turrets. That canopy rocks too. I really hope to see that come on a smaller set some day. Other colors would be nice as well.

The second is a small fighter craft, built as a test-bed for triple-winged technology.

What did you use to set the angles? Plate hinges? Click hinges? The 3-blade technic propeller part?

I think having wings protrude from the curved part of the wedges on the tail might indeed make for a neat shape, though I would have to rething the manuevering jets at the back. Interestingly, the ship actually does balance physically around the engines, probably because the tail is so long. I considered another turret on the back, or one right above the rear loading ramp, but in the end, decided I wanted more of a smooth shape. I neglected to take any pictures reflecting it, but the small thrusters at the back can rotate freely as well, mostly as manuevering thrusters. I got the canopy from a bricklink store for 2 bucks randomly, and I must say, I was excited at the deal!

As to the tri-wing, I did it with a technic axel and technic bricks, I can take a picture showing the guts later, if you’d like.
