I’m very happy with the appearance, but the features are lacking. The landing gear is of questionable stability and the canopy doesn’t open- and with 8 studs of binding surface and no good edges to grab, it’s actually pretty tough to remove. (grumble, grumble, stupid canopy part design...)

And... uh... I haven’t put much flavor text in with many of my models in the last couple of years. It looks like I was trying to make up for that here. There is way more than the usual amount of techno-babble and other pointless rambling.

I like the shape of this ship, especially the slopes that extend over the engines, and the engines themselves. I don’t like the way that the gray parts and the white ones are isolated from eachother though. I think it might behoove you to switch to just one of the colors, and maybe smoke canopies. Actually, since it doesn’t look like the pilot can see through the bottom canopy anyways, maybe you should change it to an opaque color to match the rest of the ship, that might help pull it together as a single unit. As to your trouble with opening the canopy, maybe you should make a large section (canopy and part of what it attaches to) attach with a technic pin at the back, and then rest on tiles everywhere else. While I can’t say that I like the landing gear very much, I understand how the wedges pieces you used would make it difficult to make retracting landing gear. I just think that it’s such a smooth shape, it’s sort of a shame to have the landing gear breaking up the line.
