I do believe you're right about the windscreen being Jack Stone. Now that I
look closer, there appears to be a click-hinge arrangement on the roof. Oh
well, it's still may be useful.
However, there is train windscreen that resembles this piece that is much
older than the others you mentioned. I can't remember what set it's from,
and couldn't find it on Brickshelf, but I'm sure someone will know the part
I'm talking about.

| (...) Not sure but you may be thinking about the metroliner windshield, (URL) which made a comeback with the metroliner legend release. I don't think I've seen it in red though - that would lead to more possibilities. But I think the windshield from (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jan-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains)
