New MOC: "Paveway" Missile Boat —Mladen Pejic
(URL) Click on Image This MOC was greatly inspired by the Gunstar (Mark Sandlin did a wicked model of it a while back, I was *so* jealous :-D) from the movie "The Last Starfighter". A lot of other influences are in this model also. Basically, I (...) (21 years ago, 27-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Paveway" Missile Boat —William Vale
That's really really cool. I like the mecha-style idea of having a ship with such a wonderful collection of toys, a bit like buying action figures and vehicles and getting all the guns and missiles. The pendulum cockpit with roll bar is great as (...) (21 years ago, 27-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Paveway" Missile Boat —Mladen Pejic
(...) Thanks William! (...) Thanks again. I'm really obsessed with the rounded bar piece; it's just so cool. I use it whenever I build a black MOC. :-D (...) Mmm... I love dark grey, and would have definitely used it in this model, however a lot of (...) (21 years ago, 28-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Paveway" Missile Boat —Mark Sandlin
(...) Shweet. I like the "missile swarm" loadout myself, but I like the idea that you can swap out the missiles. You could even make an electronic countermeasures variant if you really wanted to get nutty. I'm not all that fond of the red with (...) (21 years ago, 27-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

The red pods are in my mind the more likely places for ECMs. (...) I know what you mean. I (...) (21 years ago, 28-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Paveway" Missile Boat —Chris Maddison
(...) In a word, KerBlam. In a few more, I really like the cockpit and the (what I assume are) small directional thrusters. Nice overall shape. I'm with Mark on the scheme - too McDonald's. Maybe just one or the other. Eh. And big huge kudos on the (...) (21 years ago, 27-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

It's not my fault McDonald's "branded" it first. :-D For the record, I've used this colour scheme before, in another space-themed MOC: (URL) (...) (21 years ago, 28-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Paveway" Missile Boat —Zac Soden
(...) Far out Mladen! (both literally and spacially ;) ) You have captured my brain's concept of what a space missile boat would be like perfectly. Perfect size. Your usual groovy colour scheme. Other than the reconfigurable weapons loadout, My (...) (21 years ago, 28-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

I like trans dark grey bubble canopies but have zero (...) (21 years ago, 30-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Paveway" Missile Boat —Patrick Bunn
Thank you Mladen, I've been pondering how to make a rotating bubble cockpit for some gunner stations on a space B-52 bomber ship. Your solution is very cool. I agree with Mark though on the red and yellow, it's not my favorite color combination. (...) (21 years ago, 30-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Paveway" Missile Boat —Mladen Pejic
(...) Okay, if you insist... ;-) (...) Thanks, glad you like the "Paveway" Pat! As for the colour scheme, I guess it just proves I can't get everything right on an MOC. That's good in my opinion; keeps me on trying harder each time. :-D (...) (URL) (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Paveway" Missile Boat —Jordan D. Greer
(...) I sure hope that bubble automatically darkens, as the pilot would otherwise be blinded by the many nuclear explosions that will occur in any space battle. Visual sensors are far less useful in space than on Earth anyhow.. :) Anyway, nice li'l (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Paveway" Missile Boat —Mladen Pejic
(...) Hmmm... I don't exactly get what you're talking about, the nuclear explosions and visual sensors that is, but thanks for the positive (you said "nice") reply nonetheless. Hehehe :-D (URL) Mladen Pejic> (21 years ago, 1-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Paveway" Missile Boat —Jordan D. Greer
(...) The radiation generated by a nuclear detonation will release much energy in the visual spectrum, unprotected eyes could easily be blinded by such explosions (it's exactly akin to looking directly at the sun while in space). As for visual (...) (21 years ago, 1-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Paveway" Missile Boat —Geordan Hankinson
Sweet! This thing is awesome. I love it when the ship is fit onto the weapons rather than the weapons being fit onto the ship. =^D This is so cool. As everyone has come to expect from you, the weapons are definitely the highlight. All the (...) (21 years ago, 1-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Paveway" Missile Boat —Mladen Pejic
(...) Heh, thanks Geordan! (...) Yeah, I really wish I had those dk. grey canopies to use for my spacecraft. I'll try to acquire some for future project. (...) Thanks again. Yep, I imagine these little 'boats' performing surgical strikes against (...) (21 years ago, 2-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)
