(...) (*waves scout uzis in the air and goes nuts*) YYEEEEEHHHHAAAAA!!!! BREAK OUT THE 'CHAMP GUYS! YEAHH!!!! (hem, hem. Cool. It looks kinda like a compressed Kalishkanov for a different purpose) Cheers guys (*pops open champane bottle. Lol.*) Spc. (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: The U. S. S. Roderik has been launched!

(...) Hi Nathan. I think this ship is a good start, but it sort of looks to me like it's not finished. The interior is nicely detailed, which is good, but the exterior needs work. I don't understand the hatch in the front with the bridge. It doesn't (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: The U. S. S. Roderik has been launched!

(...) Great interiors Nathan, and I really like the slopes on the front. I think it needs some beefier engines, though, or at least some cool-looking exterior "stuff" - nacelles, sensors, cannons... it just looks a bit unexciting from the outside. (...)   Re: The U. S. S. Roderik has been launched!

(...) I can't offer a lot outside of pure asethetics as I haven't tackled a larger ship myself yet, but I have to say that this took a direction I didn't expect from your previews....in a very good way! The exterior shape is nicely done, although as (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: The U. S. S. Roderik has been launched!

(...) That's really cool. Nice interior, and I really really like the exterior. It's a nice change of pace to have something clean and un-greebled, if you will. Very sporty. :-) -Chris (21 years ago, 21-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: The U. S. S. Roderik has been launched!

(...) I tend to agree...I've really grown to like larger engine areas...and after seeing Dan Jassim's Dragonstar I am pretty much convinced that it can be done properly. For smaller ships, I think Dan's star shuttle is another good example of cases (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: The U. S. S. Roderik has been launched!

(...) (buzzcut) (...) One could keep the wimpy-looking landing gear and instead devise a Higgs Boson Field Negator, which would cut the percieved mass of the ship tremendously. As a bonus, it could also allow you to travel at or near c with (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: The U. S. S. Roderik has been launched!

(...) Heh, heh! (...) Thanks! Stay tuned for the Roderik's sister ship! (URL) (21 years ago, 22-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: The U. S. S. Roderik has been launched!

(...) Hey GA, thanks for the honest and very helpful reply! These tips will really help my ship building from now on! (...) Believe it or not, I actually got bored with this project when I was done with the inside. I had drawn out the interior with (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: The U. S. S. Roderik has been launched!

(...) I think you're missing my point. I think it's a bit odd to have the entry hatch in the middle of your cockpit/piloting area/whatever. I would think you'd want it to be located further aft, to allow for messy research stuff to be brought on (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: The U. S. S. Roderik has been launched!

(...) Aahhh! I see now. Locating the hatch further back on the ship makes much more sense. When I build the Roderik's sister ship I also want to include an airlock as well. (URL) (21 years ago, 22-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: The U. S. S. Roderik has been launched!

(...) Thanks! (...) Ahh, the miracle of SNOT! (...) I agree completely! Thanks again, (URL) (21 years ago, 22-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: The U. S. S. Roderik has been launched!

(...) You had me scared there for a minute! (...) Thanks! I think I've finally worked out SNOT (now just greebles and landing gear to go..) (...) Yeah..like the Turtle! (...) Hmmmm...Roderik II, perhaps? (URL) :) (21 years ago, 23-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: The U. S. S. Roderik has been launched!

Re: The U. S. S. Roderik has been launched!

(...) Hi Nathan! I was just catching up on reading .space to find out I missed this ship, even though I saw one of the previews. I like the overall shape of the ship and the use of colors as if the minifigs painted lines on the hull. I do think (as (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: The U. S. S. Roderik has been launched!

(...) Very impressive. The engine room is my favorite. I like the yellow pipes. Great lines on the ship. I like the "simple" elegance of it. I like the way you organized your brickshelf file as well. I took pix as I built a starship called the (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)
