   Hi all,

After seeing Leonard Hoffman’s awesome Kalashnikov Project, I was inspired to build a ship much bigger than I ever had tried before. After wrestling with several ideas, including a toxic waste disposal transport, I settled on a research vessel.

The vessel will be called the Roderik and have a bridge (duh), four bunks with storage space, a research station, and an engine room (double duh).

The first pics are up at MOCpages. More will be added as the ship grows.

Why Thank you! This is exactly what I was hoping the Kalashnikov Project would inspire.

I echo Adm Giddens’ comments about the color scheme. It is really important to have a good color scheme that doesn’t detract from a moc. Many great MOCs with poor color scheme have been passed over, while mediocre MOCs with good schemes get praise.

Otherwise I look forward to seeing the completed Roderik!

ps. a side note about feedback: if you plan on showing the process in detail, don’t expect many replies until the finished product.
