I think that military has a lot of possibilities. I would like to see a sort
of thing like those gigantic (HUGE!) German WWII guns they used to cart
around on extra-extra-long railway carriages, which needed big stabilising
buttresses which presumably swung out from either side. A futuristic version
would have giant robotic spider-like legs that unfurl and "dig into" the
surrounding terrain to absorb the recoil.
Another thing I would like to see is a giant mineral harvester of some kind,
perhaps like a Dune spice-harvester or a Command-And-Conquer Tiberium
harvester. It could have a landing pad on top for scout flyers, an extending
docking mechanism for transerring the recovered ore to silos at the base,
etc... if you're designing for stories/play, a mining operation has lots of
possibilities. Especially if you've read Dune....
Actually, I like that landing pad idea. Whatever vehicle you make, try and
make it big enough so that you can incorporate a landing-pad baseplate into
the top with an overlooking control tower, that would look fantastic!

| I am currently in the concept phase of another project which hopefully is successful. (The last one is still in the process of disintegrating on my worktable) I am working on a large minifig ground vehicle. I am thinking roughly 45 x 16 studs for a (...) (25 years ago, 22-Oct-99, to lugnet.space)
