New MOC: Terran Advanced Scientific Satellite —Nathan Wells
Hi all, Here's a new MOC of mine, the T.A.S.S. (URL) Overall> (URL) Solar Arrays> (URL) Secondary Data Relay>/(URL) Scanning Systems> (URL) Emergency Backup Satellite> (URL) Repair access to CPU> (URL) Folder with more Dataphotos> The T.A.S.S. is (...)         Re: New MOC: Terran Advanced Scientific Satellite —Spencer Nowak
(...) Firstly, there isnt much to criticize. However, the solar panels seem a bit small in comparison to the power it would need to run all those programs. Most solar panels i have ever seen in *real* NASA photos are big, frail things. I like the (...) (21 years ago, 13-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: Terran Advanced Scientific Satellite —Nathan Wells
(...) Wow, thanks! (...) Well, I *only* have one TIE Fighter :) I agree, the panels are two small, but I used up all of my blue tiles in those eight panels... (...) Thanks again! (URL) (21 years ago, 14-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: Terran Advanced Scientific Satellite —Leonard Hoffman
-snip- (...) -snip- Adm Wells, This is really a nice little ditty. I like your current trend of probes and satellites. This certainly would fit within a futuristic, NASA-esque line such as LOM. Not quite as far as PCS, but in that 'in between' era. (...) (21 years ago, 14-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: Terran Advanced Scientific Satellite —Nathan Wells
(...) Thanks, it's a nice break from 'manned' space ships. (...) Wow, that's exactly the time period I wanted! :) (...) Yes, I used a lot of them, but I'm really horrible at doing greebles! (...) Stay tuned! (URL) (21 years ago, 16-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: Terran Advanced Scientific Satellite —John Henry Kruer
(...) OOh, I like. Satellites are cool. I like the shape of this one. The solar panels are a nice touch- you don't see them much in .space nowadays- must be some advanced magneto-fusion reactor or something. And the satellite-within-a-satellite is (...)          Re: New MOC: Terran Advanced Scientific Satellite —Nathan Wells
(...) Yeah, they're really sweet and haven't been made in LEGO much. (...) Yes, the solar panels are my second favorite part of this MOC. (...) The small satellite is my favorite part! (...) As I said before, I'm horrble at making greebles, but I'll (...) (21 years ago, 16-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: Terran Advanced Scientific Satellite —Andrew Saada
(...) Nathan, Hey there. Overall I think you have a very innovative design here. I was interested in some satellite ideas and yours has stirred some. I have to commend you on the unique design of the main antennae. Two pieces of criticism: 1 - As (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Thanks! (...) Thanks again! (...) Yeah, buying nine copies of the Droid Fighter at a KB Toys clearance sort of made me cheat with the greebles.. (...) :) (URL) (21 years ago, 24-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: Terran Advanced Scientific Satellite —George Haberberger
(...) Nathan, This looks really good, and using the slotted plates for a solar cell works amazing well, the texture looks very realistic. Thanks, George (21 years ago, 24-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: Terran Advanced Scientific Satellite —Nathan Wells
