About FTX pictures and Sig images. —Mike Petrucelli
I am going to be straight and to the point. Please, when replying to a message delete the previous persons imbedded sig image and pictures. Also some of you might want to consider making you sig images smaller. Now don't get me wrong I think the (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: About FTX pictures and Sig images. —Gil Shaw
(...) Maybe this could be something that would make a for a good automated process? It would definately make navigating the threads easier. Thoughts? I was thinking of knocking down my sig size as well. It's Z-compressed and quite small (6k), but (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: About FTX pictures and Sig images. —Tim Courtney
(...) Gil - I like your sig a lot, but it could be about half the size. Mike had some good suggestions for sigs. Todd was discussing possiblities of automating the process in admin.suggestions a while ago - and I dunno if/when new features will (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Yeah, out of all the freeware paint programs and conversion programs, why anyone still uses .bmp is beyond me... btw, to make this suitable for .space, I'm going to post pics of my 6985 ((URL)) which has been sitting in the fish tank for the (...)       (...) Thanks Tim...I think you're right about size. Let's try this: Cheers, -G (URL) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: About FTX pictures and Sig images. —Mike Petrucelli
(...) To Gil, Mark, and Nathan; I think the sig pics you guys just used are good. I hope people use your sig pics as a guide for the largest some one should make a banner style sig pic. As far as the icon style sig pics, I think the Grand Admiral (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: About FTX pictures and Sig images. —Mark Sandlin
(...) Less is more. Giddens at first had a billboard attached to the end of his posts, but he soon reduced it to a nice little pic of his sig fig and a planetscape, which I think turned out well. -Grand Admiral (URL) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: About FTX pictures and Sig images. —Duane Hess
(...) snip... (good sized sig pic BTW) Most of the time it's not the size, but how you use it. :-) While I have plenty of bandwidth at work, I'm still on a dial-up at home. I'm all for snipping out other people's sig when replying. One, it saves on (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: About FTX pictures and Sig images. —Mike Petrucelli
(...) Well you asked, I think you could easily make your sig image half (or so) its size and still have the same impact of "hey this is me." -Mike Petrucelli (URL) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: About FTX pictures and Sig images. —Leonard Hoffman
(...) I agree completely! to make this work for everyone, it is important to have some ground guidelines. -lenny (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: About FTX pictures and Sig images. —Mark de Kock
(...) As I have cable, I never knew how annoying those pictures could be. Thanks for the heads-up. Is my sig-pic small enough? (URL) goto-lab> Dr. /\/\arkassius - Science-Lab (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: About FTX pictures and Sig images. —Dan Mattia
(...) Your sig seems small enough. I wouldn't know; I also have cable. I have to work on a sig...after final exams, I guess. -Dan (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: About FTX pictures and Sig images. —Mark Sandlin
(...) I think the pic is fine, but it seems redundant redundant to type out text that's already present in the pic. -Grand Admiral (URL) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: About FTX pictures and Sig images. —Mark de Kock
(...) Awrite, I wasn't sure about that myself. As I use a large monitor with extreme resolution, to me the text in the picture wasn't very readable. That shows that I should test with more normal, down-to-earth settings. (Is that possible? (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: About FTX pictures and Sig images. —Nathan Wells
(...) Okay, I'll do that now. (URL) (ps - how's my sig? If it's too big or anything just let me know and I'll do what I can) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: About FTX pictures and Sig images. —John Henry Kruer
It think it would be nice to have a sort of sig option letting you save and apply a sig image or text to all your posts. In addition to being convenient, it would be easy to fairly impose a size restriction on sigs. (2 URLs) >> (My sig alright? Is (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: About FTX pictures and Sig images. —Nathan Wells

Re: About FTX pictures and Sig images. —Paul Hartzog
(...) This is the first sensible thing anyone has said in this thread. If I had implemented it, I would've done that, but Todd didn't implement "sigs" he implemented FTX which is FAR more useful than just sigs. Besides, maybe he'll do a "sig" option (...)
