Hi there, Chris,
I'm quite flattered that you like it. The tools took a few goes to get
right, however the thrusters took their current shape almost immediately. I
suppose that's the beauty of a detailed sketch before construction :) Whilst
constructing it I almost pulled the engine pods off off as I felt that they
cluttered the model up but they really are required to give it its feel of a
service vehicle.
I love the clean colour lines. This has been about the first time I've done
them and they really help to define the model and give it a cleaner look.
Yeah the gap where the dome joins is a bit disappointing. I suppose I could
have done it with some 74 degree slopes on their side but that would require
a complete rework of that section and it's not that big a deal.
Thanks for the great feedback,
Zac
