It's a good thing I don't plan on making any more Modules because I could
not top that. I seriously got the 'bug-willies' and screamed some profanity
at my monitor when the first pic loaded.

It's not about topping the next cool MOC that comes around, it's about
building something that you're happy with.

The structure reminds of crazy sphere building like the Epcot Center and I
bet using the physics from this someone could actually make a spherical
building if you had all the parts.

That would be quite a trick.  The geometry of Lego technic, at least the new
pieces, is pretty limited.  Now if you used the old style technic parts with
the half connectors with those little teeth on them, you might be able to
accomplish something pretty nifty. But that's for someone else to experiment
with :)

The details inside you tell have a loving touch. You have made no shortcuts
in creating this nightclub. You attention and craftmanship to the
turntables, speakers and the bar are outstanding. Finally, the 45 degree
rotation and angled entrances and exits make this go from ultra cool to
ultra cool that took a hell of a long time to figure out how you did it.

The real trick to figuring out the sort of insanity I had to do to get this
thing to hold together is to realize the top part of the building, from the
top edge of the window openings up, is all 1/2 stud offset from the bottom
of the building, in order to get the angled entrances to actually attach.
Good thing I had plenty of black 1x2 jumper plates.

You have outdone yourself!

(...) Actually the teeth on those parts are set in 15° increments, so they work basically the same as the new ones, but don't look as cool and are more fiddly to work with and require more parts per joint. Just thought I'd mention that before anyone (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)
