Wow, for a first full picture, this is great! You did very well for yourself.
I am impressed.
If you will induldge me, however, I'd like to give out a couple points of
constructive criticism.
I don't know if I would have put the blur on the ship. I realize you wanted to
show movement, but for a splash image, if you wanted to convey the idea that
your website is of LEGO models, you might have wanted to not blur the MOC so
that it was perfectly clear it was built out of LEGO. But then again, you
might have been trying to cover up some flaw in the original picture, and if
that's the case then a blur effect works well. I don't know the whole story,
and besides, it's just my opinion on the whole blur thing.
The other thing I wanted to say is a bit of technical anal-retentiveness. You
have your planet there, and looks wonderful. However, in the shadowed area of
the planet I can see stars where there should be shadowed planet. Unless of
course it isn't a perfectly round planet, which is all up to you and your
universe of course.
Other than that, like I said, for a first full go at it, you did great.
