    Crow's Nest —Jeff Jardine
Oh wow - it's already the featured MOC in .space. So that's why my Brickshelf folder was getting so many hits... This MOC was inspired by the recent thread about relativistic rocks. There isn't much to it, so I thought I'd provide a backstory using (...) (22 years ago, 18-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

        Re: Crow's Nest —Adrian Drake
(...) Great backstory, and what a terribly lonely life that must be. It's a nifty little design too, very compact, with clearly no wasted space. Adrian -- (URL) (22 years ago, 18-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

        Re: Crow's Nest —Gil Shaw
This is so cool Jeff...I love the space as a new frontier designs. The interior is just beautiful...looks so 'realistic' and meshes wonderfully with the backstory. The bunk w/lockers on the ceiling is awesome...great 3 dimensional thinking. Any (...) (22 years ago, 18-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

         Re: Crow's Nest —Jeff Jardine
(...) Thanks Gil. No plans for it yet, but I did some thinking about the replenishment shuttle... I'm torn between either a 3rd generation Space Shuttle or a permanently spaceborne craft that would dock with a space station in Earth orbit. Why does (...)         Re: Crow's Nest —Chris Giddens
(...) Simple, yet technical. Small, yet packed with stuff. Exellent use of parts. This is what space MOCs should be! Dang, how cool is the bed on the roof?! Thanks for sharing this... I've been looking at the pics for a while and waiting on the (...) (22 years ago, 18-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

        Re: Crow's Nest —Allister McLaren
Jeff, I really really like this, but only partly because of the bricks. The model itself is fairly functional, as it should be, but I mostly enjoyed how you created something that could conceivably be built. You've taken .space out of our regularly (...)          Re: Crow's Nest —Jeff Jardine
(...) Thanks Allister. It was fun thinking about the exact purpose of each little detail. (...) Those slopes on the roof do look a little too much like shingles :) I'm still working on getting away from 'studs-up' building. Good point about the dome (...) I think it demonstrates what life in space really would be like: cramped, lonely, (...) (22 years ago, 18-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

        Re: Crow's Nest —Tony Alexander
Jeff, VERY elegant use of space, with true three-dimensional thinking. This looks like it could be the answer to one of those problems professors used to throw out in architecture school. I'm also impressed with provisions for the crewperson's (...) (22 years ago, 19-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: Crow's Nest —John Henry Kruer
This is great. The MOC looks very realistic, and the color scheme and isolated greeblies really work well. The interior is awesome- the computor panels, bed, cabinets, and the 'batteries' at the back all work to create a great interior. The (...) (22 years ago, 19-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) Thanks John. My camera's a Sony DSC-P30 (1.3MP), but I almost always use 640x480. These pics were taken in front of a big window on a bright day. They are nice and clear, but I'd prefer more vibrant colour and a whiter background. I could (...) (22 years ago, 19-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Good Job Jeff. That thing is great. Nothing like having one window and looking out of it into the blackness of space to keep you sane for a year. That makes me laugh. Great background story. Jamie www.ozbricks.com/jneufeld (...) (22 years ago, 23-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)
