Re: New MOC: The VOX —Mark Mueller
Very Spoooooooky! Reminds me of the Shadows (I think that's what they were called?) from Babylon 5. Mark M. (22 years ago, 5-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: The VOX —Adrian Drake
(...) Shadows, yes. And that's what I get for not reading all the replies to a post before I post myself. Here you are saying the same thing I did, two hours before I said it *shakes head* I've been sorting too much recently, my brain's gone to (...) (22 years ago, 5-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: The VOX —Gil Shaw
Oi, tell me about it. That's been the deal for the last couple weeks. I go to bed with nightmarish visions of plates, curves, antennae, canopies..... My breakthrough book: Zen and the Art of Brick Sorting -G (...) (22 years ago, 5-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: The VOX —Adrian Drake
(...) Try taking this apart: (URL) not so much the variety, but the sheer scale. I finally got it finished last night, after about two weeks of work. I hate taking things apart! Adrian (...) (22 years ago, 5-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: The VOX —Adrian Drake
Nah, it didn't require that much brick separator action (in reality, a brick separator ought to be called a plate separator!) but with 20K or so pieces in it, it took a lot of finger work to take care of it. Now I'm surveying all the other stuff (...) (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: The VOX —Mark Mueller
(...) Not the Athena! I love that ship. Even though it's not space, it's still pretty darn cool. Just my 2/5 of a nickle (<-- Lame or Not Lame?) Mark M. (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: The VOX —Adrian Drake
(...) No worries there, that and the Katana are part of my Castle World stuff, and if I ever get back into that (or the Isle Of Mist resurrects itself) I'll need them, so I'll keep them around. They don't take up too much room anyway :) Adrian -- (...) (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: The VOX —Gil Shaw
Good thing those 2 are surviving the purge....they are true flagships. Just out of curiousity Adrian, how many bricks do you figure are in your inventory? I just want to be wowed :> Cheers, -G (...) (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: The VOX —Adrian Drake
(...) Every year after Brickfest I tear apart much of what I've built and recycle the bricks into new creations. I'm just a bit late this year, due to my basement remodeling project. As for my collection, about 230,000 pieces total. (URL) guide's a (...) (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

Gak! That's incredible. In 'real' terms, that would be 131.5 blockade runners! Nice job on the basment BTW...I took a look through the stage progressions last week whilst cruising around your site. We've only been in our place a couple years and (...)           How many pieces does Adrian have? (was Re: New MOC: The VOX) —Chris Maddison
(...) Good God, man! No wonder you can afford to keep all these awesome brick-intensive MOCs alive and still pump out new ones. I know of several other builders with huge collections like this, but no spaceheads come to mind... As for me and my (...) (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: How many pieces does Adrian have? (was Re: New MOC: The VOX) —Adrian Drake
(...) That 100,000 of them came from bulk purchases of the 3033 blue tub and the 4288 red bucket should temper your amazement a bit. I didn't have to spend THAT much on those (relatively). It's not like all 230,000 pieces are Galaxy Explorers and (...) (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

      (...)
